About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Algorithm Seven Incorporated, a British Columbia company ("Algorithm7", "we", "us"). If you use the site for an organization, you agree for that organization too.

A signed agreement with Algorithm7, such as a test agreement or a data license, takes priority over these terms where they differ.

Using the site

  • Use the site only for lawful purposes.
  • Don't try to break, overload, scrape or get around the site's security, including the Lab Portal sign-in.
  • Don't send raw data, client records, personal information about others or confidential material through our forms.

Information on the site

The site describes our services in general terms. It isn't an offer, and it isn't legal, technical or investment advice.

Examples, demonstrations and sample scores on the site are made up to show how our method works. They are not real datasets, real customers or real test results. What a given dataset can support depends on its source, its permissions and a written agreement.

Our content

The site's text, design, logos, the names Algorithm7 and Algorithm 7, and other content belong to Algorithm7 or its licensors. You may view and share links to the site. You may not copy or reuse its content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Lab Portal terms

The Lab Portal at algorithm7.com/portal shares confidential data samples with AI labs so they can decide whether to license a dataset.

Who can use it

Only people with a verified work email at an organization we've enabled, currently @openai.com and @anthropic.com, who are using it for their employer. Don't share your access with anyone else.

How you may use samples

  • Use samples only to evaluate a possible license with Algorithm7.
  • Don't train, fine-tune or evaluate models on samples unless a signed agreement allows it.
  • Don't copy, share, publish or try to identify any person in samples outside your organization's evaluation team.
  • Keep samples confidential, using at least the care you use for your own confidential information.

Logging

We log each sign-in and each sample viewed, with your email address. Samples carry your email address as a watermark.

Ending access

We may suspend or end portal access at any time, for example if these terms are broken. When access ends, or when we ask, delete any sample material you hold.

Disclaimers

The site and the Lab Portal are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that they'll always be available or error-free, or that samples will fit any particular purpose.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Algorithm7 isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site or the Lab Portal. Our total liability under these terms is limited to CAD $100. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post changes here and update the date and version at the top. If the Lab Portal terms change, we'll ask you to accept them again before you continue.
